Freeze-dried coffee, also known as instant coffee, is produced using a special technique and looks like large, airy granules. These dissolve in hot water. The name freeze-dried might suggest otherwise, but you definitely do not need a freezer to store this coffee. Additionally, no filter roll is required for this coffee, meaning no waste is generated during brewing. A cappuccino or Wiener Melange, in particular, tastes extra delicious when made with freeze-dried coffee. There are 5 bags of 500 grams in a box.
