Hero 'THE ORIGINAL' Cassis is a traditional Dutch product that has been made by Hero since 1938. A real classic, and perhaps the best-known Hero product. Just like in 1938, the blackcurrants for Hero Cassis still come from the fertile Zeeland clay soil (Heinkenszand and Lewedorp). After harvesting, they are destemmed, crushed and pressed. Then part of the berries is subjected to a natural fermentation process, which releases hidden aroma and flavor components. Hero 'THE ORIGINAL' cassis owes its full, round taste to this.
