The Drostdy-Hof, a former court of justice from the nineteenth century, is located near the picturesque town of Tulbagh, 120 km from Cape Town. The Drostdy Chardonnay falls under the Coastal Region/Western Cape appellation. After fermentation, the wine has contact with oak for six months, giving it a round and creamy appearance. The pale yellow wine has a yellow gold sparkle. Fresh citrus fruit, the exoticness of mango and pineapple and the sultry of vanilla appear in both the smell and taste. The aftertaste of this round, creamy wine is spicy and soft. For so and at the table.
